Art Scanning

We provide an art scanning service for artists who wish to make art prints. There are three choices of scanning listed below. 

This is a new service, so to begin we will be scanning every Wednesday. When you drop your art off we will confirm the type of scans you would like.

Please read about the different scans and the terms below before ordering or bringing in your art for scanning.

Raw Scan - $25

What You Get:
2 x raw scans with different exposures.

Good for:
The Raw Scan is good for artists who are capable of editing their own raw files and want to simply take advantage of our scanning studio only. Saves you money especially if you have the time and skills to edit your files yourself.

Complete Scan - $68

What you get:
1 x Raw Scan
1 x Edited Scan (Colour corrected, 100% scale, not cropped)
2 x Print Files (One with borders and one full-bleed)
1 x Test print (A4 print plus A1 and A0 test strips, all on one A3 sheet)

Good for:
The Complete Scan is good for artists who need to scan their original artworks, to then make fine art prints.

Complete Scan & Content - $95

The Complete Scan & Content Package includes everything in the Complete Scan plus the following.

1 x set of framed and unframed product web images for your online store. 
1 x mock up image showing your art in a styled home setting.

Artist Services Art Scanning Terms

Files are provided as a dropbox link for you to then download and save (and back up). Files are available for 30 days and are not saved afterwards. 

At Artist Services we scan with printing art prints in mind. This means we create print files with more/less saturation, brightness, vibrance and contrast than your original painting, with the aim to make sure if it was printed it would look amazing.

Colours will be incredibly close, but the nature of scanning means there will be some difference. The Complete Scan lets you request a re-touch and new print file if you are not happy with the first file provided. Further re-touching can be done at $74 p/h with 30 minutes being the minimum.

Maximum size of original artwork = 1000mm x 1000mm.

What we can't scan:
- reflective mediums like high gloss varnishes, resined paintings.
- solid black, Gold or Silver work.
- framed or unframed paper works.
- 3d works like framed objects.
